It is like a treasure hunt, caches can be big or small, some micro ones as small as a button! They are all over the world. Steve made this video by way of explanation: What is Geocaching
Geocache spoilers is Steve's YouTube site, as Steve was keen to point out these were not really spoilers but a way of sharing good ideas on making exciting and unusual geocaches, however he was keen not to spoil anyone's fun so this is what he said:
"Dare I say, as the name suggests, these videos contain what some people may consider "spoilers". I showcase good geocache hides. If you don't potentially want to spoil future finds then don't watch this channel".
Steve and Nicolealso set off some 'Travel Bugs' these are a trackable tag that you attach to an item. This allows you to track it on Geocaching.com. The item is carried from cache to cache and you can follow its progress online. Learn more at www.geocaching.com/track/travelbugfaq.aspx.
To keep them going they have now been taken into the ownership of Steve's brother Chris, Geocache username Chrisluv.
Bonus points for keeping to the "L" theme. Carried by someone who's username begins with L? Take me to a cache beginning with L? Take me to a place begging with L? Or all three! :-)
My mission is to count how many geocaches I visit - the mission is simple.....numbers! More = better. Please help me count. DON'T press the button unless you carefully follow these instructions:
1) I assume you've picked me up?
2) Take me to another cache.....
3) Are you going to "dip" me or make me "visit" another cache? Or drop me into another cache?
4) Each cache that you log on geocaching.com you must also press the button ONCE. Please remove the green stopper, press the button then replace the stopper.
5) Thanks, you're done. Smile strongly for helping me on my goal.
Name: Around the world in 800 days (BOYS) Tracking Code: TB48NDC
For his son - I'm in a race against my stinky sister. We both dropped a travelbug off on the same day in caches a mile apart. One is going around the world west and the other east. It's a race, I'd like to win. Please help me.
It's boys vs girls, help me beat my stinky sister by moving this TB to another cache.
Just keep it moving, even if it's no quite in the correct easterly direction, as long as it's not the wrong direction (west) it doesn't matter! You can go north/south to eventually get east!
Thank you for all your kind photos, comments and help :-)

Memorial Travel Bug Svengalie:
We have set off a memorial Travel Bug which we hope will visit all the memorial caches that have been set up in Steve's memory:
Memorial Travel Bug: "The Pinched Penny" Tracking code: TB5KB0V
Using one of the pennies from the completed " Penny Pincher" geocache we have made a travel bug called "Pinched Penny", it is the 1981 penny (the year of Steve's birth).
Recreating Steve's Caches
As any geocacher will know if you cannot maintain your cache it has to be archived.Sadly we struggled to keep all of Steve's going as they were so intricate and complicated - typical Steve (and Cup!) to have caches that were so cryptic.
However, we should not have worried because avid geocachers spire67 and Maxhench were determined to help us get them back up and running. They are spending their time recreating the archived caches and putting them back on line in a tribute account called 'Celebrating Sven' - click here to see all the caches
Big thanks to both of them for their hard work.
Memorial Caches for Steve
There have been many Memorial Caches set in Steve's memory, these are lovely tributes and it warms our hearts to think that you have gone to so much trouble, thank you so much:
One of the first that I found details for is by Ronda, "That Old Biddy" she kindly gave details on Facebook, it is in Illinois, United States and called House of Sven Travelbug and Geocoin Hotel http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC3CWGV
Ronda also has a memorial travel bug for Steve called Sven Travels, it would be great if it came to England and we were able to pick it up : TB4KBT8
